Waiver-Eligibility
Waiver-eligibility policy for The Asian Bulletin of Big Data Management:
- Eligibility: The waiver policy is available to all authors who are unable to pay the article processing charge (APC) for their accepted manuscript.
- Waiver criteria: To be eligible for a waiver, authors must meet all of the following criteria:
- They must be from a low- or middle-income country as defined by the World Bank.
- They must have a valid ORCID ID.
- They must submit a letter explaining why they are unable to pay the APC.
- Waiver process: To request a waiver, authors must submit the following to the journal's editorial office:
- A copy of their accepted manuscript.
- A letter explaining why they are unable to pay the APC.
- A copy of their valid ORCID ID.
- Decision: The journal's editorial office will review all waiver requests and make a decision within 10 working days.
- Appeals: Authors who are denied a waiver may appeal the decision by submitting a letter to the journal's editor-in-chief. The editor-in-chief will make a final decision on the appeal.
Here are some additional things to keep in mind:
- The waiver policy is subject to change at any time.
- The journal reserves the right to deny a waiver request if the author does not meet the eligibility criteria or if the request is not submitted in a timely manner.
- The journal will not refund APCs that have already been paid.
